AB  - This paper is a study of the composition of gases present during vacuum freeze drying. The residual gas analyzer and its associated high vacuum system are described. Cracking patterns for various substances associated with the freeze drying process and equipment are presented. The change in gas composition is shown at various times during the drying process.
