AB  - The quality control of rubber stoppers and syringe components has been generally limited to tests covered in P.D.A. Information Bulletin No. 2, which lists procedures for ash, specific gravity, infrared spectrophotometry of pyrozalate, and ultraviolet spectrophotometry of extracts. This paper presents a possible new technique for evaluating these components for identity, stability, absorbed preservatives and formulation ingredients using syringeless gas chromatography.
