AB The production of pure, dry, sterile, pyrogen-free steam is of paramount importance in ensuring reliable steam sterilization. The best method of producing steam of this nature is to provide a second heat exchanger or pure steam generator that can be fed by the main plant steam boiler. In this way, technical and economic efficiency can be achieved. The importance of this type of system in light of FDA CGMP’s for large-volume parenterals (LVP) is discussed, and a practical, dependable, effective method for production is presented.
