AB A new method is described for the quantitative detection of endotoxins in large volume parenterals, based on the use of limulus amoebocyte lysate in combination with a chromogenic substrate. Inhibitory effects caused by the presence of electrolytes, can be eliminated by the use of an endotoxin-dispersion-stabilizing-agent, except in case highly concentrated salt solutions are involved.
