AB  - This paper will describe the new Sterile Operations facility recently opened by Smith Kline & French Laboratories in Philadelphia, Pa. The facility represents state-of-the-art construction and is designed to accommodate a wide variety of small volume parenteral products. The S.K.F. philosophy of redundancy in major systems design will be discussed within the context of process validation. The flow scheme for components, personnel, and drug product through the Manufacturing area is described.
