YR 1988 UL http://journal.pda.org/content/42/3/82.abstract AB Diazepam, solubilized in human serum albumin and delivered i.p. to mice, neutralized seizures induced with Metrazole in a mouse epilepsy model. Diazepam-free albumin, injected immediately after the Metrazole, also reduced seizures; albumin binds Metrazole. Heat-denatured rabbit albumin failed to elicit precipitating antibodies in the rabbit. Albumin is a suitable cosolvent for some water-insoluble drugs but probably is not cost-effective.
