AB  - The effect of polysorbate 80 on the crystalline properties of mannitol during freeze-drying was studied. Crystallinity and polymorphism play an important role in, e.g., the solubility and stability of freeze-dried products. Polysorbate 80 had an effect on both the polymorphism and the crystallinity of freeze-dried mannitol.
